Guitar strings are so basic to a guitar its imperative that you choose the best you can get, cheap guitar strings sound awful, don't bother, guitar strings aren't that expensive get the ones that feel right and suit your playing style as best as possible. There are many different guitar string brands and materials used in manufacture. The brands I will leave for you to choose, there are some major company's that make highly respected strings but there are also small company's that make great strings too.
