Washington has moved one step closer to becoming the next state to support marriage equality!
The House Judiciary Committee passed its gay marriage bill today with a 7-6 vote.
The vote was split straight down the party lines, with 7 Democrats voting yes and 6 Republicans voting no.

Teresa Giudice's husband Joe from Real Housewives of New Jersey made a risky move in court today that could find him behind bars for the next ten years. Joe decided to reject a plea deal offered in his fraud and impersonation trial and pled not guilty to the case against him.

If he had taken the deal, he would have only gotten five years in prison for the crime, half the sentence he is facing now if a guilty verdict is brought down on him.

Wow. He better have a real sound defense against these charges. Otherwise, those beautiful girls of his are going to grow up without him -- and that would be really sad.

Oooh poor Katy – not only is she dealing with the loss of the relationship and recently filed divorce papers but now this… obviously it isn’t confirmed that it is definitely going to be published but the news going around today is that Russell is planning on writing and releasing this memoir, and no doubt if this memoir does eventuate, it will have a lot of info in it about his marriage to Katy.

“Katy is insulted and feels betrayed that Russell has treated her so poorly,” a pal to the “Firework” singer, 27, tells Us. “She will never forgive him…He’s being so atrocious that she feels like she never knew him.”

Oh this is sad, I admit that I can be a bit gullible when it comes to love… but seeing an ex attack, like this, just seems to be so futile and malicious. In this case Russell may have been planning on publishing a memoir for a while now, and we could give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he will include stuff in it about Katy (it would be weird if he didn’t) but it doesn’t have to be hurtful and include all the minute details of why the marriage didn’t work out.. we will have to wait and see if the rumor of a memoir actually comes into fruition. It will make for some interesting reading if it does…

2012 will be a BIG year for Ryan Seacrest!

On top of his busy schedule that includes American Idol, hosting a radio show, and producing numerous reality hits for E!, the multi-hyphenate is creating his own television network!

Seacrest is partnering with Mark Cuban to rebrand the already existing HDNET as AXS TV (in case you were wondering, it's pronounced "access").

Sources say the channel will start broadcasting under the new name in the summer and will feature mostly live lifestyle and live entertainment fare geared toward pop culture and entertainment enthusiasts . Thanks to investing partners like AEG and talent agency CAA, they've got lots of connections to utilize.

You won't be seeing Seacrest's face on any programming, but he will be creating content, as he told sources a while back:

“[AXS TV] will not be the Ryan Seacrest channel… it will not be branded with my name or my face. My role would be to hope to provide content for them, but primarily it would be an ownership role.”

It seems like every Hollywood star EVER has been attached to rumors of homosexuality … and that includes Hollywood stars that are no longer living. Hollywood legend James Dean is among the big name stars who was rumored to be gay and an upcoming new biopic film titled Joshua Tree, 1951: A Portrait of James Dean takes on those rumors head on. Joshua Tree tells the alleged tale of Dean‘s secret romantic relationship with men. Whether true or not, I’m sure there is a segment of the movie going population that is terribly intrigued by the notion of James Dean being gay. There has always been speculation as to what was the true sexuality of Hollywood legend James Dean. But now a film about the star will take a very specific stance on his personal life. Upcoming biopic Joshua Tree, 1951: A Portrait of James Dean, includes scenes that depict the actor having sexual encounters with a series of men. One scene shows the character of Dean making love to his male roommate in a corridor. He is also seen in the movie indulging in a tryst with another male character, this time on top of a mountain. Dean is played by relatively unknown actor James Preston, who is most famous for his role as werewolf Lukas Ford in supernatural TV drama The Gates. Also starring in the movie is Robert Gant of Queer as Folk fame, The L Word star Erin Daniels and Walk The Line actress Clare Grant. The film, which is due to be released in the summer, claims that it ‘redefines’ James Dean ‘for a new generation’, according to its website. It is not the first tribute to suggest Dean was gay. Dean’s first biographer and close friend William Bast stated that the pair had a intimate relationship. He was also described as a homosexual by screenwriter Gavin Lambert and Nicholas Ray, who directed Dean’s most celebrated movie, Rebel Without A Cause. Dean apparently avoided being drafted into the war by registering as a homosexual, which was at the time classified as a mental disorder by the US government. However according to the book The Unabridged James Dean: His Life and Legacy from A to Z, he denied being gay. He allegedly said: ‘No, I am not a homosexual. But, I’m also not going to go through life with one hand tied behind my back.’ Dean died in a car crash in 1955, aged 24, one month before the release of Rebel Without A Cause.

Aside from the obvious fantasies, I think many gays would love to believe that James Dean was gay because they would be able to see some of themselves in one of the most famous stars in the history of Hollywood. Everyone wants to feel accepted and, as screwed up as it may sound, many of us get validation when we see parts of ourselves in famous or powerful people. Minorities tend to identify with other famous minorities or people of power … and that includes gays and lesbians. I don’t think many people really understands what it means to gays (young gays, especially) when a famous person comes out of the closet. Firstly, young gays may not feel so alone if they learn that other very successful people are gay as well. Secondly, young gays have role models that they can look up to in order to emulate them (everybody does this … whether they look up to celebs, sports stars, politicians, authors, artists, their parents … everyone has role models). Whether or not James Dean was gay, I can understand the desire for some people to believe that he was. It remains to be seen how this film will do but I’m very curious to see how it is received by the movie-going audience as a whole.

Altho I received a few invites from some of my fave people on Earth, the lazy side of me won out and I ended up NOT going to any Golden Globes parties and just stayed home and watched the show from my couch. I ordered me some pizza, hot wings and cheesy bread … burrowed myself under my blankets and had a very enjoyable night of awards show watching fun.

I did my best to tweet some of my fave moments from the show so, yeah, I really did have a fun time last night. David went out on the town so I had the whole place to myself. Today is a quiet day around town, being Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and all so I think I’m gonna lie low, too. David and I may head out to the movies to see The Artist … I think I should see it before too much time passes and I miss seeing it in theaters forever.

Oh hell to every yes!

Now, some have said to us that they've felt a drag in the current season of Glee. Not that it hasn't been good, but that something has been missing; something that was really prevelant in previous seasons, but blantantly missing from this one. To them we say ... quit your whining! Here's your damn tribute episode!

Kicking off the new year, we're getting season three's mega-ultra-super-extraoridnary tribute to the late-great Michael Jackson. What is truly incredible about this episode is the sheer mass amount of music that will be covered and the nice homage to the full spectrum of his catalogue.

While promoting the show this weekend at FOX's Television Critics Association bash, a few of the show's cast members teased what will be coming on the episode. Let's go ahead an put up a SPOILER ALERT right here, before someone stumbles upon a tidbit of info they just don't want to know. For the rest of you...

First of all, the episode is going to feature EVERYONE, including newbie cute Grant Gustin. According to the stud, his character Sebastian is going to do something "majorly douche-y" to one of the members of New Directions that pits him against the entire group, particularly Santana. (We're guessing his target is her beloved Brittany then!) Grant reveals:

“Santana comes to Dalton [Academy] and confronts me. And then we go into ‘Smooth Criminal’ together.”

Okay. So far, so good! Now, you Dalton fans will be getting a double dose of Warbler fare, as the boys will pop up for their own number (a Jackson 5 treat) and a throwdown against the New Directions to Bad. Other HIGHlights from the episode are said to include Harry Shum Jr. and Kevin McHale waling and dancing to the Michael-Janet duet Scream, while Kurt Hummel will be serenading his beloved Blaine with the oddly picked tune, Ben. No one -- and we do mean no one -- is more confused by the song selection than Chris Colfer, who says:

“I have no idea [why it was chosen], but I know it was voted the worst song in history by some group. It was about a rat, but we’re singing it about Kurt’s boyfriend. I’m not sure what the connection is! They didn’t [change lyrics from "Ben" to "Blaine"]; that would have been clever, though.”

Guess we'll have to wait and see how that one pans out! LOL!

Both Betty Crocker and Betty White are celebrating their ninetieth year as American icons. “Betty White is one of the most popular actresses of our time, and Betty Crocker is honored to create this one-of-a-kind birthday cake for her,” said Kristen Olson, food editor with Betty Crocker. “This cake is our gift to Betty White in celebration of her ninety amazing years, and we think this vibrant cake really reflects her personality and the many things we love about her.” The three-tiered Triple Chocolate Celebration Cake, flown by private plane from Betty Crocker’s Minneapolis home to Los Angeles for Betty White’s birthday, is a decadent chocolate cake layered with sumptuous chocolate mousse and rich chocolate ganache. Marrying classic and modern elements, the red, orange and magenta cake is decorated with dozens of fondant roses, shimmery edible pearls and golden candles – and hidden among the roses – a small replica of Betty’s beloved dog Pontiac. The NBC special will celebrate White’s 90th birthday and will honor one of the world’s most beloved entertainers. The star-studded event will be taped live at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including many of White’s co-stars, will be on hand to deliver their birthday wishes. The evening will include special musical performances, surprise appearances and comedy, featuring the irreverent tone, spirit and energy that are the hallmark of White’s six-decade career in show business. The 90-minute special is produced by Brad Lachman Productions and Universal Television; the executive producers are Brad Lachman, Jon Macks and Steve Ridgeway.

Betty White and Betty Crocker are American legends … icons … national treasures … it only makes sense that they would team up to celebrate their 90th birthdays together. I mean … this cake … wow. Next week’s NBC TV special will be rad because it will be all about the celebration of Betty White. At the age of 90 years young, Betty White endures as one of our most beloved stars. From what I've read, he was not the most brilliant of pianists as far as technique, but he was very musical. In his later years he hated to practice and played the premiere of his 2nd Piano Concerto after hardly touching a piano in years.

Kanye West As Creative Director Of The Jetsons? Not So Much!

During his philosophical Twitter bombing Wednesday, Kanye West mixed in there a claim that he is the creative director of The Jetsons.
Turns out that's a bit untrue. And by a bit, we mean totally untrue.
Producer Denise DiNovi responded to Ye's declaration, stating that creative directors don't even exist in movies.

Remember when people said they thought John McKain was too old to be president? They may have been right!

While he was supposed to be endorsing Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential candidacy at a rally in South Carolina, the senator told the conservative crowd he is confident President Obama will turn this country around.

It takes a few seconds to sink in, but Mitt casually steps in to remind old John what he was supposed to say.

"Me! You're supposed to say me you stupid old fart!" LOLz!

Just kidding! He didn't say that, but we bet he wanted to. This is one of the best political blooper's we've ever seen and maybe even...a Freudian slip?
